Wow.....IMHO Capri Insurance is doing a great service to firearm owners across canada.....firearm owners as a group we need to stick together .....this kinda rhetoric is divisive and does nobody any good....and does nothing but weaken us....
Keep up the great work Capri
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."
I may be wrong, but it sounds like you are both saying the same thing from different points of view: that DAS's parent company wants DAS to no longer insure any new brokers/clients of that type. If Capri can't add more clients onto DAS policies, then that is an issue... one it seems Capri has already dealt with.
Sorry, Capri. I believe you are doing a good thing and I thank you for it. I just get p!ssed when people feel they have to be obtuse and rude to make a clarification: kindness and sincerity is becoming a lost humanity...

I would wager you a pint of your favourite beverage that DAS thinks they have a very good reason. If I put my in foil hat on, I can even think of a couple good ones myself.
I suspect you would have asked DAS what their reason was. Too many claims, not enough customers, weak risk analysis, poor understanding of the market, etc? Or did they just say we're done and walked away without explanation?
Government is a broker in pillage, and every election is sort of an advance auction sale of stolen goods. HL Mencken. 1919.
The answer was simple and to the point "The change is a result of our organizational structure with DAS as an MGA and now Temple Insurance as the underwriter. This class of business is not one they wish to continue to insure".
Unfortunately this is not an uncommon answer I see with regards to Firearms related risks.
