    Glock 47

    Is there any word if these will be available for the public?

    Pistol was purposely built for the contract & no indicator that it will currently released for commercial sales

    This is a confusing gun... It's basically a Gen 5 17 MOS FS with a 45 frame. Not sure what the point of the short frame is

    The only thing I can think of is the Glock 45 frame allows you to use a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS upper on the Glock 45 lower and vice versa. This is because the Glock 47 has a special upper that takes a Glock 17 Gen 5 barrel, but has a retracted recoil spring housing, that would allow you to run Glock 19 Gen 5 recoil spring assemblies. It’s like a shortened Glock 34/35 upper, in the way that they use a Glock 17/22 RSA’s. Point: 100% parts interchangeability between the G19 G5 MOS and the G47.

    Good point. Makes more sense
