Is the block just there for the rivet to have some meat to catch into? The block obviously doesn't stop the follower if the mag is crimped, I assume? So just take a small bit and drill right into the centre of that rivet? Is there any negative to being left with a hole in the bottom of the mag?

There are already larger holes in the top and side of the mag.

I popped the rivet on mine and did not change the fact it still wont insert on a closed bolt. Dont bother drilling the rivet out, just pry the round metal thing on the bottom of the mag with a screwdriver.

Can you explain what you did to it a bit better for me ? Does yours now load with 10 in the mag on a closed bolt ?
    Thanks

    It made no difference.

Look at the big stupid metal disc on the bottom of the mag. Usually there will be a side that is more raised than the others. Stick a decent size screwdriver against the bottom of the disc and start prying it and working your way around the disc. Eventually it will pop off. Watch where your hands are as the screwdriver will slip.
