They bought the rights, manufacturing and design nothing to do with a BCL at all. Read through the thread
yes, troy purchased the license from nea to produce their design.
BCL is also producing the 102 (NEA 102 design), they are on their 7th version of the same rifle, Troy is still on the original NEA design afaik

my 102 works perfectly.

I will not comment on the accuracy because the rifle shoots better than I do so far.
Happy with my 102, but what is up with the FRT saying that it's built by NEA?

- "TROY 102" was introduced in 2019.
- "TROY 102" is an AR102 design firearm manufactured by North Eastern Arms and branded for Troy Defense.
Under manufacturer:
- Manufacturer is not marked on the receiver/frame.
- "North Eastern Arms" is located in Kirkfield, Ontario, Canada

The intellectual property belongs to NEA and troy bought the rights to manufacture it. Its 100% Troy made.

I know what they said, I'm asking if Ryan as a retailer has been misinformed or knowingly did not tell us. What the manufacturer submitted to the RCMP contradicts what they've been telling us, and they didn't hand out FRT's as soon as they could which all the other Non res- AR kin rifle companies did. Even laminated copies. As well, Troy doesn't have this product on their own website or media which I find weird. Doesn't anyone else find this odd?
It was build for Canadian market.
Why they need 102 in US when they have AR10.
