    When I still had my MP44 CA and were allowed to take them to the range we ( my shooting buddy and myself ) could easily hit the 500 meter gong with iron sights and 125 grain hand loads. We were shooting offhand but leaning sideways with the other shoulder on a tall post to steady us a little. My eyes were better in those days

    No, it was the BD44 (Stg 44 copy) that was in the price range you mention. The BD42 was ten grand when the first ten rifles were available for sale. About a year later two additional rifles showed up and I recall they went about a thousand dollars higher.

    can someone please PM me with what they think the value of a bd44 with one factory and 3 ww2 mags. also has 2000rds non corrosive ammo included in the package?

    its the ammo that kills this. pretty much have to roll your own.

    Does that really kill it for anybody?

    I've never been able to figure out why every serious shooter doesn't have at least some capacity to handload. It makes no sense to me why one wouldn't. Single stage press kits are cheap, and fit into a modest duffle bag.
