Correct me if I am wrong but all my firearms have the serial number/model etc on the side of the box - you need to take a looky inside
If I wanted to debate semantics, I would join a book club or take an English class. My post was about principle, not anticipating that someone with a dictionary and thesaurus was going pick it all apart. Each to their own I suppose, but I am sorry that I took you away from your literary homework.
OK fellas. I didn't want to stir up a hornets nest.
The gun is fine, but I did ask for something specific which was promised but ignored.
Will I do business with Wanstall's again ? of course I will.
Do I want any special considerations because of this issue ? (discounts etc) No, absolutely not. Everyone has to pay their own bills and I am quite happy paying retail price.
Perhaps if the invoice had not promised a next day delivery, and I hadn't stayed in all day, and half the next, and if the gun had been as supplied by Ruger - in bag with chamber flag, as I specifically asked for (or at least implied), I may not have been so p*ssed.
Anyway, storm in a tea cup, all is well with the world, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. My 'Strike Fire' is mounted and I'm off to my son's 10 acre property to bust some water jugs.
Life is good.
(But thanks for the above support, and 'flamers' comments also appreciated.)

Jeffman - stop trying to sound like your the smartest guy in the room. No one cares what your IQ is.
Definition of a veteran - Whether active duty, retired, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his/her life, signed a blank check made payable to "The People of Canada", for an amount "up to and including my life."
Im confused
Are you sure you didnt mean to pm to someone other than myself - Im not sure what gun or what transaction you are referring to
I have been ill for the past 4 days and just got enough strength back to check cgn this am
My IQ hovers around 190ish, give or take a few hundred.
Why do people care so much about packaging? You should have kept the white film that was on your brand new car when they PDI it.
I would rather take a WORKING gun that is on display than a brand new untouched gun that doesn't work.
This is funny because some people complaint the packaging was tempted with, some complaint that they don't look over the gun before sending it out. Doubled sided sword IMO.
