    "designed to hunt people"
This phrase is purely designed to do one thing:

Create fear in non firearm owners

The Liberals are completely unprincipled power hungry politicians and they will do and say anything to anyone and use any method to further their means.

This is one of the most vile insults possible against our community.

and calculated to do as much damage as possible.

A lot of discussion here on the merits and technical issues and design etc are irrelevant.

The Liberals only care about scaring and frightening people and everything they do no matter how minor is designed to lie and misrepresent to political advantage.

Take the non sense about having to keep firearm records which is already done or just taking gunsmith for example out of the ATT?

Or background checks past 5 years when they already have the discretion to do that......why??

Seems like nothing or a waste of time or petty or minor......

    But that is a tactic.

The Liberals count on the smear tactic and those little things are just bait.

As soon as the CPC say they are against C-71 the Liberals turn these minor issues into claiming the CPC wants to do away entirely with background checks, eliminate any PAL etc verification records and eliminate ATTs.....

That is because the ignorant public does not see/care/understand the distinctions.

The Liberals do garbage gun control with C-71, CPC says they are against the Liberal garbage so the Liberals scream the CPC is against safety and lets gun crime run rampant.

    That is how it works.

So by simply saying guns are used to hunt humans, we get painted with a brush where explaining the distinction, rules, law abiding..........is simply lost on the public.

they'd love nothing more than for those..."people"... to overthrow canada so we could be more "diverse", if they were so worried about them they wouldn't let them in enter in the first place but Trudeau loves terrorists

There is no constitutional right to self defense with a firearm in Canada. This argument sounds like the argument made by 2A supporters in the US on why they need an AR-15. "It is the best means to protect my family" will not work here.
Not an unpopular opinion. LE are outside the firearms act and all involved are aware of that. Those rifles are indeed fielded to shoot people as necessary, to protect life. Obviously we support them having good tools.

Civilian sporting use, target shooting, as it stands our only reason allowing similar restricted rifles, is a multi-generational and useful sport and hobby in Canada. Service Rifle competition with DCRA since before Confederation. Participants are by example and scrutiny, more law abiding than non-firearm owners. Scapegoating and attacking law abiding Canadian Sport shooters is not an acceptable or genuine approach to crime reduction. Canada is an example of a country where firearms are widely held, yet there is very little crime among law abiding ‘licensed’ owners. Very, very little criminal use. To the point that it would be madness and a massive vote loser to attack firearms owners for the appearance of their firearms. Firearms owners are not only law abiding, they also vote. Un-Canadian. Un-Necessary. Need to do something for an election? Investigate stiffer sentences for violent offenders.

Keep calling everyone. Email, sure, but do that after you call. ‘Just making sure this rumour of reclassification of firearms isn’t true’.
