Are these same kits available in .45 cal. and is the work to research, acquire, and hand fit the parts worth the improvement in 50 yard accuracy compared with just buying something like a SIG Super Target off the shelf?
Not that hard if you have some basic fitting tools, time and YouTube. There are literally months worth of excellent 1911 videos there that explain the subtle fettling needed to assemble a smooth, reliable pistol.Originally Posted by ravenzoom

Are the parts included slightly oversized or will they drop in?
