Anymore S&W?
I'm an AR newbie so my decision was more or less based on the general consensus I found online while searching for the best starter. And the price was right. Came out to ~$722 after all was said and done. Most other retailers I've seen have it listed around $800 before shipping and taxes.Originally Posted by VinnyQC

It's a nice rifle for the price. I have a Sport 2 with the front post. Wish I had an OR instead, but I like it. After reading a bit on the DPMS I believe the S&W is a better buy for the price.
I alerted a buddy of this and he promptly snatched one up earlier today.
The front post was a turn off for me, so I was actually leaning towards the Oracle. Then I came across this thread, which made me check out the website and led to me coming across the last handful of optic ready M&P15s at a price too good to pass up on.
I've actually been having a really good day today and this is just the cherry on top. Seriously so damn stoked to get my first AR. Thanks SFRC!
