If you look closely at the pic, you see a small piece of the front rail on the left.

Makes no difference to the lower. C7 vs C8 is a barrel length and gas tube change.

From what i have been told was that the C7 and i mean the first series, used the Diemaco C7 lower with the new Colt Canada upper and the C8 came later and were brand new lower and upper from Colt Canada.
That is why the markings at the fire selector are different.
I could be and from the wear on it, it looks like it, this is one of the first C7 used by the Dutch army

Considering a lower from a C7 and a C8 could be switched back and forth... could be select fire or semi fire only (police options) and the only true difference is between the barrel and gas system lengths... its a minor issue.

Hell the C8 semi autos sold to police agencies are the same semi auto lowers sold to the public as SA15.7 or SA20 lowers.

Only difference in lowers is the fire selector options and what roll marks they stick on them.

If a lower came in 3 round burst... the option could equally apply to a C7 or C8...

Both C7 and C8 are semi and full auto as is the one supplied to the KMAR in the Netherlands(that is the complete black one)
Ammo depends on where they can buy it cheap
The Diemaco had a 3 round burst option and the later version had also the full auto option on them.
Mags being used are the Thermold mags and now they also use the Socom Lancer L5 mags.
@Steelcap...Rheinmetall is the supplier of the Dutch ammo for the C7 and C8 as it is for the HK416A5, Minimi and MAG machine gun.

Ruag is swiss and rheimettal is german.

Ruag makes some of the best military ammo I've seen both in 7.62 NATO and the famous GP11 7.5mm swiss.
