Hey perfect I can pay for my 9mm hex brake via EMT when they are done. I'd be happy to prepay if you like.

Sorta.... we spoke to the CFO regarding this since it's their rule. They told us it is acceptable for us to collect only the PAL number and DOB, but that we need to run it though the online system. This means if you sent us just the PAL number and DOB it's gonna take us extra time to process your order.

Now, does it make a difference for personal security if you send us a photo vs number? Nope, not really. If you paid by credit card you've already sent more sensitive information over the internet. (That's why we now accept EMT) The PAL doesn't have your address or phone number printed on it. That only becomes visible when it's verified though the RCMP web service.

I want to make sure re-boring it will turn out ok before accepting any payment.

So this means people could actually just send you their PAL numbers and expiration dates (similarly to how they do for all of the other big and small retailers in Canada) but the orders will just take a little longer? Or you guys are not willing to do that on a regular basis for people?

I am asking because I know myself, and thousands of other users, who fundamentally disagree with the unnecessary (and not legally required, REF. See any other retailer) practice of collecting scanned copies of PALs.
