Use IMR. The add is an error, but they are close enough that is does not matter. You have to work up your load either way since this in not a canister powderThe add says H-4895 less 10% ?
OEM and canister are not the same, they are pretty much opposite.
OEM is sold in bulk to ammunition producers. Canister is sold in canisters to hand loaders.
What is country of origin on the dominion powders and primers? Have never been able to find that info mentioned.
CanadaI'm curious as well. Was the country of origin question ever answered?
yes, all the same lot. Please email cs@canadaammo.com for bulk pricingAre the current ones that ready to ship are from the same lot number? tempting to get 20# for cheap 308 and 223 rounds, but it doesn't make sense if I have to work up the load for every 5lb jar
and, do you offer a special price if we purchase an entire drum (35lb ish?)?
Got my D4895 via Canpar today and shot it this afternoon.
The powder sticks are longer than imr 4895 but it still metered well.
Loaded some 223 Rem and 308 Win to imr 4895 specs.
The 223 Rem was spot on with excellent accuracy. 23 grains, 70 gr berger at about 3000 fps
The 308 Win loads were about 1 gr hotter than imr 4895, or about 60 fps faster. 46grains 155 gr bullet at 2920 fps. Touching 3000 at 47 with pressure signs. Again good accuracy.
Looks like a good imr 4895 replacement and the price was right.

How did you got the velocity data from? Did you chrono them?155gr@3000fps is insane....
OP: What type of cases were you using? They seem to be running real hot and I'd imaging that your case is full of powder: compressed load?
I just loaded some test rounds with 147 FMJ in IVI cases, staring at 40grs moving up in 1/2 grain increments to a max of 43gr, almost fills the case: maybe 1/4" from the top.
Looking forward to seeing other results using this powder.
Looks like it's gone from your web page. Are you now out of D4895?
Very soon
im guessing it’ll be a different lot?
