    Price help

    Hi!

I’m ready to sell a rifle I’ve had for a while but I’m not in any groups or forums so I have no idea what it’s worth and how much to list it for? Is there someway to figure that out?

    Thanks!

    What is it?
new or used when you bought it?
    What did you pay?
    How many rounds through it?
Have you changed anything on it?
What kind of condition is it in?

    It’s a Ruger M77 mark II 7mm08 with a Leupold scope

I bought it second hand for around $1000 I think? It was a few years ago now

Not sure how many rounds through it because I’m the second owner. Less than 50 from me though.

    I’ve made no changes.

It’s in great condition. Glass is great. No big gouges or anything on the stock, barrel looks perfect.

Assuming you paid a fair price for it when you bought it, used - and it's still in nice shape, you should be able to get what you paid for it. Typically guns will depreciate some, for the first five to ten years, then they will hold their value. More desirable ones will start to appreciate. Generally speaking, when you buy used, and if you "buy well" and the piece is in very good condition and you keep it that way - you won't loose money.
