The 1.2" difference will NOT matter, ammo specs and reticle/magnification level are not "precise" enough to matter...this is a 4x combat optic, not a 32x precision one for a 24" bolt gun shooting hand rolled ammo.

So I picked one of these up and its pretty cool. The manual it comes with is generic and doesn't explain the other features of the reticle, which is disappointing. North Sylva, could you provide any info on this?

My only other gripe is that the serial number on the box doesn't match the serial number on my scope.

Inch or cm grid at 50 meter should be helpful to figure out the reticle... Are they MOA or MRAD?

I read and I'd have to go double-check, but when the C7A3/C8A4 program goes forward they'd replace the Elcans with ACOG's and RMR's these could be test samples for the A3/A4 trail.

What I was referring to was the significance of the additional stadia lines they added to the reticle. I already own a couple of TA31Fs with the chevron reticle and BDC.

I'm assuming the ones on the horizontal axis are for leading moving targets at various speeds, but I'm not sure about the significance of the horizontal lines added to the sides of the chevron.

I have one of these for my 15.7. It is quite awesome. Pelican case matches the optic that was made in 2012. Kill flash is held on with a rubber o ring. I witnessed US Army guys at CFSAC firing ACOGs on their M4's from 500m and getting excellent scores. It's expensive, but It sure is nice.

Anybody know how many were made available? It is a limited run.
Those that can, do. Those that can't, talk about those that do.

They were made in 2012? I thought these were new production.
