    1894 is also chambered for some rifle cartridges like 30-30 Winchester and 32 Win. Special.

    Slight difference but main difference is 1895 = 45-70 and 1894 = .44cal

    The Marlin 1894 action is too short for the .30-30 class, I think you are thinking about the Winchester 1894, or more commonly referred to as 94, which is chambered in those cartridges.
