We were talking about buying a new lathe for the shop here, and realized that folks may not know that we offer a variety of gunsmithing, modification, and assembly services at flat prices.

Assembly of Lowers, Uppers, and complete guns for convenience and instant gratification after buying a ####eload of parts for a new build.

We will check your bolt & barrel headspace with our SAAMI-spec go/no-go gauges.

Thread or re-thread your barrel -- sometimes requested for match barrels that have no threads from the factory.

Assembling Maccabee SLRs has many pitfalls so we are glad to do that. We do a cup of coffee before and a shot of whiskey afterwards.

We can bore out your muzzle device for 9mm .40 cal and other pistol cartridges (works for most devices but not all, feel free to inquire).

Barrel cut and re-crown/re-thread. This especially useful if you're starting with an off-the-shelf USA barrel at 20" or longer and you want to make it 18.6" for the non-restricted barrel limit.

A2 / front sight base (FSB) installation on barrels -- coming in Q4 2019.

Artist's rendition of our gunsmith. What's he doing, turning a lathe headstock with a crescent wrench? That's not even a thing. And it's shooting sparks out the back, wtf

What services would you like to see offered?

We could try that through a partner cerakote shop.

what parts/colours did you have in mind?

Just basic colours like OD green, coyote, FDE, black, white. Or whatever other colours are popular options.

Sometimes it's just quicker and easier to select the option when ordering parts, like barrels or handguards, and have it arrive ready to go. Rather than receiving the parts and then having to send away for coating.

Keep in mind I'm only 1 customer, so if it's not feasible, or there is little demand for it, I'd totally understand.

What range of guns do you work on? I understand you're an AR specialist but it might be an idea to advertise what else is welcome.

I gotcha. You're just one person but I figure at least 10 others want it but haven't asked.
I'll see what we can arrange.

This is really great news!!! I've pretty much got all of the parts together for 2 lowers I bought when the "rush" was on and despite watching countless YouTube videos I'd be more comfortable getting someone who actually knows what they are doing assemble them for me. I notified the CFO to change them from receiver only to complete rifles. Once I actually receive the new paperwork I'll be in touch to get them put together.
