Needle exchanges greatly reduce the amount of money spent to treat infectious disease among drug users, and leaves emergency personnel free to deal with other problems. Regardless of your opinion of drug addicts, reducing the amount of your tax dollars that goes into them is never a bad thing - and whether you like it or not they won't be turning them away at the ER over their poor lifestyle choices. Clean needles are a hell of a lot cheaper than treating Hepatitis or HIV.
Same thing happens everywhere though, the liberals were the problem for 15 years here, now the ndp is in power and yet site C dam is going ahead despite the lack of need for it, all those billions from LNG haven't materialized and we still don't have UBER...

If you need religion to have good morals then you don't actually have good morals.
Quite the derail of the thread you guys have going on.
I hear what you're saying, but I say pour money back into mental health care, get the psych hospitals back up and running with proper addiction programs, get the people back into society. In fact, cut funding to MPs, MPPs, Councillors, prime ministers and all that by 90% and put the cash into mental health. Of course, I'm a libertarian, so I am always in favour of trimming the useless bureaucracy.

I think this award thing is a BS scam that JR won. I find it a coincidence that several employees at FOC I recognized are former employees of Target Sports Canada in Gormley, that is also owned by JR! This BS award is obviously rigged to get publicity stunt for more business for JR. I have suspicions that JR is a partner with owners of FOC with familiar faces of staff from Target Sports Canada, employed at FOC, since it first opened.
