    Troy 102 rifle received!

Thank you, SFRC! Just signed for and promptly opened my box. It looks great! I’m going to quickly clean off the factory muck, lube it and run a bore snek.

It’s a pretty spartan box with the bare essentials. I was hoping for at least a Troy sticker. No rifle case included so that will be my first purchase. My scope is on and the car is packed, so off to the range. I’ll follow up with how she shoots.

Membership is actually pretty cheap, more than worth the time wasted on third party image nonsense.

Post to FB as private. Right click on image, copy address, post to CGN. I use FB as a image host this way.

This thing is really well put together. I checked every screw and it’s all torqued appropriately. There’s a tiny storage compartment in the grip, I’m figuring on stuffing a bore snek in there. The grip texture is fantastic, it’s on par with an FNX9 pistol, no slipping here.

The butt stock is a little weird, I’m probably going to change it to a Fab Arms. It slips off my shoulder very easily and although the storage compartment is big enough for tactical Skittles, it’s not enough to keep it on.

The primer strikes really hard, it leaves a nice dent. No soft strikes here. The magazine is functional but my XCR 10 rounder works great so that stays in. Both mags didn’t want to insert fully on a closed bolt, but since my M&P Sport II does the same thing, I’m used to working around it.

One interesting thing; when I smacked the mag home on the first load, the bolt went into battery. It surprised me but only did that the first time, I tried duplicating it but couldn’t.
