I'm waiting for a body count, I expect them to fire on trespassers like the sign posts say. This will be the largest single Darwin Award ceremony ever? Let's wait and see.

If Area 51 is anything like KI Sawyer AFB was in the ealy '90s for an airshow, there likely will be a lot of people needing a change of underwear if they breach the fence. In any areas that were offlimits to the crowd (it was an operational SAC base at the time) the signs were posted warning something along the lines of "...use of deadly force authorized."

I think the post above about jamming cell is spot on! easy to do and hard to prove

a few thousand will show up at most, but nothing crazy. My guess is press will be 25% of attendees.

2 or 3 "Heros" will take a run and get dropped like a sack of potatoes. They will get no where close to anything important and spend a night in jail.

1 or 2 people will unfortunately die but that will be because of car accidents or drug OD.

There will be no hotels so the will need to sleep 1 night in their cars. Then will all drive home the next day and have a fun story to tell.

There is simply not way that anyone will reach the core area a US Air Force base.
Years ago, nuclear armed F111 and B52 were stationed at Plattsburgh AFB and clearly remember the painted «#red line#» at which point lethal forced was authorized.
During air shows, an armed guard was posted at every 10m or so along the line.

I suspect that a similar red-line is enforced in multiple area of the base.
In short, enter area and get arrested.
Cross the red line and get shot at!
