Vectan Powders - Do you want more of the line brought in?

For the past year or two we have been carrying the 6 of the main Vectan powders. These powders are made in France and are of excellent quality. The price ranges from $25 to $39 for a 500 gram (1.1 lb) jar. The questions is would you like to see us carry more of the line as we are placing an order with the manufacturer soon.

Here is a list of the ones we stock.

I have looked at those a couple times and would agree with the suggestion that a little more information would really help sell it.

Suggest applications, burn rate, comparison to other more common powders....
Data is out there but it's limited and often in European format with charges in grams etc.

Those prices sure sound nice. More performance info might help convince rifle guys to try it.

Just looked at their reloading data online. 30-06 150gr@2500 FPS.... Their powders seem faster than the most common ones we use for the same cartridges.

I did some looking around at the Vectan site and a few information pages on other distributors sites and there are burn rate charts and reloading tables available, at least for common cartridges.

One question. The Vectan site has load information for black powder firearms but no where on the site can I find information about black powder.

What can you tell us about the PNF line of powder and can you get it?

Can you get the A24 powder in larger jugs? Apparently A24 works quite well for 7/8 oz loads in those "one reload" French Cheddite hulls.
