    We will ban all military-style assault rifles, including the AR-15;
We will work with the provinces and territories to give municipalities the ability to further restrict — or ban — handguns; and
We will protect the rights of law-abiding hunters and pledge not to bring back the long-gun registry. Hunters do not use or need assault weapons.

    With kind regards,

That about sums it up, they want all of our guns.

Hey Brian, great letter! I'm in your riding too and also emailed Ms.Rudd in March 2018 about C-71. I got a half decent reply the next day. I was appreciative of her reply but thought it could have been more thorough. As soon as I get into reloading I'll be contacting you! Good luck to us all this election.

    Good morning Andrew,

I appreciate you reaching out; however, this legislation will have little direct impact on law-abiding gun owners like yourself. It's about balancing the misuse of firearms with those who use them lawfully, and actually would bring gun control closer toward the standards set in the 1970s. I ask that you be wary of information that may be both fear-mongering and politically-driven, and think it's important that the RCMP do have oversight when it comes to potentially dangerous firearms like automatic assault weapons. Some gun advocacy organizations have called the legislation "common sense."

I will certainly take your concerns under advisement going forward, and again, thank you for reaching out. However, please note that you may actually be located in Maryam Monsef's riding, rather than Northumberland--Peterborough South.

    Best regards,

    Kim Rudd
Parliamentary Secretary, Minister of Natural Resources
    Member of Parliament, Northumberland-Peterborough South

    Hello Kim,

My name is Andrew T. I am a resident in your riding, husband, father of four, licensed electrician, a licensed firearms owner, and enjoy target shooting sports as a hobby. I live east of Peterborough.
I am writing this email today to express my discontent with Bill C-71. I have personally read the bill and it's expressed changes to the Fire Arms Act and the Criminal Code. I find no significant way that the bill will impact or reduce gun related crime in Canada. I also see no way that the bill will increase the safety of legal firearms owners, and those people who choose not to own firearms. Instead, I observe that Bill C-71 will impose tighter restrictions on law abiding gun owners and have no effect on guns that are purchased on the black market and used by criminals.
I take with the utmost seriousness the safety of everyone around me while I enjoy my firearms hobby, actively and while my firearms are not in use. I take exception with Bill C-71 and it's usefulness to help improve the safty of people who do not own firearms, owners and end users of firearms, and it's ability to help police fight crime.
I would love to have a conversation with you to discuss Bill C-71, and invite you to take part in shooting sports with me to experience what enjoyment can be had.
Please do your part to express discontent for Bill C-71 with the influence you have in our local and federal politics. I believe Northumberland and Peterborough South deserve a federal Bill that will have a real impact on firearms safety, fighting firearms related crime, while maintaining freedoms for legal firearms owners in Canada.

    Sincerely,

    Andrew

Kim will not break the party line. It’s my experience that she’s trying to do best but she’s not trying to burn bridges either therefore she will not break the party line.

I have dealings with her trying to inquire why a friend of mine and veteran of the 101ST who’s living in Canada was not permitted landed immigrant or resident status Well the gates were open isis and others. I thought I posted it here but I didn’t because I will was banned at the time for telling off a liberal shill … G…

Your CPC candidate who I happen to know and support is a very decent person.

I am glad you let them know about the situation and your letter to the Liberal Candidate.

There are a lot of very dedicated people working for the CPC in all ridings.

They are grateful for any help they can get.

If you only take a sign for your lawn, please call your local CPC office and they will deliver one.

If you can go out canvassing for a few hours, help on the phone, or with vehicle support or on election day to get out the vote......it is all worthwhile, fun and easy.

I will be down at the local office in Cobourg in the next couple of days. I would be going down tomorrow, but I have to go pick up 6,000 lbs of brass. I am going to time it at a time where to local CPC candidate is scheduled to be in the local office so I can talk to him for 5 minutes.

There are debates that the Liberal MP, Rudd is supposed to be at this week October 2nd and October 3rd.

The CPC candidate will also be there of course. Call their office and ask about their availability so you make sure you meet them.
