I have one, its amazing.
And while we are wishing, offer a scaled down version in 357 aswell.
I would love either a 44 mag semi-Auto like the old Deerfield, or a compact lever style like Ruger used to make. I like the compactness and utility of it and in stainless steel with an aluminum receiver it would be an awesome rifle for trapping and bush hunting.
No tube magazine. Removable box mag. One piece stock. Even with a standard 5+1 magazine capacity it would be close to my ideal rifle for a lot of work and play in the forest.
Response from Lipsey's Ruger special orders manager:
"I agree that an all weather model would be nice. Ruger hasn’t expressed much interest in bringing it back though. Last time it fizzled out pretty fast."
