Ruger Semi Auto Rifle in 44mag

Clay, I see you do a lot of Ruger stuff.

Any chance in hell of Ruger coming out with another semi auto 44 mag rifle? It seems that the demand is there and the Deerfield prices are being driven into the stratosphere on both sides of the border.

A modern stainless version would be a great lightweight backpacking rifle.

THIS would be the perfect bush gun for me and I imagine for a lot of other people. This fellow custom built a stock, lever and magazines for his Ruger 96/44 and made it into something so much more amazing:

If Ruger ever made something like this I bet they would sell a lot of them and I would most definitely be one of the first people to buy one.

I would be interested in a new or revamped Ruger .44 Mag Carbine as well. ( Wood stock/ Stainless barrel/action)....Preferably in the older style and not so much like the PC9.

I would still prefer semi auto.

But I agree that is a very interesting rifle!

While we're fantasizing, why did they never do a run of 77/44's in 480 ruger?

That would round out my collection of super magnum pistol carbines nicely.

The 44 in the 1022 style with detachable rotary mag like the used to make would be awesome
Pre-orders are horrible for everyone involved. They never go smooth. We will not be doing a pre-order to bankroll this project.
