On the other hand if BL initiated the review pulling infamous "Cox move" - big time shame on them!

Throughout this process, we have spent tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees in an attempt to approve for Canadian market GSG rifles of a similar look.

The only rifle any police could encounter was ATI version. So, if you search FRT a month ago, it would be listed as prohibited. Yet, if you search internet, you will see that GSG was promoted as non-restricted. So, it was prudent for police to find out as what exactly is going on. I bet there is a third player to the story. A person with a rifle who met the police at the beginning of the story.
You might be right. I thought of this scenario too.

Considering the JR Cox situation, I'd say nothing could be further from the truth.

I'd just be happy if Blueline ever responded to warranty claims. Which they seem not to. A month, not a peep.

For the sake of disclosure I am not on a pre-order list for the GSG-16, nor have purchased a ATI version.
I am however going to buy one eventually.

One question that's bothering me is how many new products (FRT numbers) has IRG introduced on their own to the Canadian market?
I remember the CZ Scorpion Evo3 drama involving Wolverine and IRG. I'm sure there are other incidents. It always seems a Canadian importer gets approval to import (FRT number) and then IRG steals their thunder by using the approval (FRT number) to import from USA.

IRG has responded in their forum. They claim to have submitted the ATI GSG 16 to the lab and were part of the process to get the NR status. They also levied a few more accusations about BLS annoyance over not being the sole importer.

I have a feeling customs may have triggered this. BLS'S shipment just came in so customs probably held it as they figure out whether or not they are prohibited or non restricted. Then they probably backtracked previous shipments and noted IRG'S shipments and asked RCMP to clarify. This probably prompted them to investigate. Probably why BLS shipment took a while to receive.

Same thing happened with the Stag 10 and Arms East
