I just realized that while I was busy over in the Newbie FAQ section asking for advice, I'd forgotten to introduce myself - how rude!

I'm relatively new to the forum and new to gun ownership and hunting. Since I live it one of the most beautiful spots in Ontario I figured I'd take up hunting and shooting. I'm already a mediocre fisherman, so I figured I'd make a good amateur hunter. I got my PAL/Hunter's License last year and I'm trying to learn as much as I can and get out as often as I can.

If there are any Saultites interested in mentoring a Newbie, I'm interested!

Just got back from SSM, you're right OP....a beautiful part of Ontario! We were fishing mostly, then headed NE of there for grouse. Even got a few.

If there is anything I can do to help you navigate your way through the gun stuff...feel free to send me a PM. My scope of interest is mostly rimfire, shotgun, and centerfire varmint calibers...that's about it. lol Well, 45/70 aside...
