I have a 4x16 to go on mine.

Doing Grendel as well, I'm going LPVO for lightweight hunting config, 400m max b/c its ballistics, so Leopold vx6 1-6, or vx5 2-10, their reticles are boring but good for hunting. All purpose so tempted to go Kahles 1-8, or Vortex 1-10

Nice responses, thanks. I don't know a lot about grendel, but have heard it can shoot some good distance even with a 16" barrel. I'll take a look at those options.

Follow up question, is checking head spacing necessary?

Yes! Also make sure you use a quality barrel and bolt. Using a cheaper parts might lead to extraction issues. Having incorrect head space can also cause extraction problems.

Thanks SBI. I saw that another retailer provides a sort of rental program for a head space gauge. I can purchase it and then return it, less $20. I'll go that route to be safe. I have a Faxon barrel and Tool Craft bolt ready to go on it. Should be a nice build, considering all the accessories are off my custom built 9mm PCC AR. Looking at a $3k rifle easy.

The bolt and barrel unit which I will be using headspace perfectly as a set. Both are quality components.

We still have a couple more receivers left from this batch, so check your email to see if you got the message about it being your turn in line.
