    You're supposed to call the Firearm Center and advise them of barrel length, capacity, and caliber once your build is finished. The upper and lower are already registered. Not doing doesn't have any advantages. Lots of disadvantages though.

    Why would you need to call and tell them? If you bought a complete lower and registered it, would you call and register additional uppers - I thought the lower was the firearm and the registered part?
