Nov 25 Update:
Good morning CGN,

It's been awhile since we've had any visual progress to report, however don't worry we've been making great progress on the LPC. Over the weekend we managed to complete the first prototype upper, and assemble the first rifle. We will be making some minor changes to the upper in the next iteration to remove some sharp edges.

With a 20" pencil barrel, light weight 10" m-lok handguard, and a magpul stock, the rifle weights under 5lbs loaded. 5.1 lbs with the optic pictured. We are now working on the bolt body which we hope to have completed shortly.

We will have the rifle at the Edmonton gun show this weekend.

Feb 01 Update:
Good evening CGN,

We've been spending the last few weeks working on making the rifle feed and extract smoothly. A few things of note, a quality barrel is really important. Extraction will be difficult if your chamber is corroded or poorly finished. Also, really spicy ammo can cause extraction issues too. Overall the rifle is running very well now and we're essentially done all R&D at this point.

Moving forward we're going to start working on our CNC fixturing for the first production run. We need to build jigs for uppers, lowers, bolt knobs, and bolt bodies. We expect this to take a few weeks, but is nothing crazy. We're also working on our first run of Glock muzzle brakes so machine time for prototyping is a bit limited for the next couple of weeks.

Here's a video from this morning of our test firing:

May 10 Update:

Hello CGN,

We've been getting a lot of emails from people looking for information about the Light Practical Carbine such as pricing, availability, assembly instructions, how it works.... While we truly appreciate the enthusiasm for our new rifle please don't email us looking for more info. Moving forward we will not be responding to these emails as it takes up too much time.

We are making excellent progress on the production setup for the lower receiver. We have a lot of fixtures to make in the next week. Upper receiver design and manufacturing setups are all complete.

June 6 Update:

We're well into production. Uppers are coming along well and the first complete upper came off the CNC on June 5th. Bolt knobs are finished. Bolt bodies are well underway. Lowers will begin soon!

Didn't they do something similar to this in Australia? But because it still used the bolt release they seemed it semi auto and we're stealing them back from the people who owned them

I trust you’ll be designing and manufacturing (from scratch) a magazine designed for “exclusive” use in this bolt action rifle? Available in a variety of calibers and capacity?
