Canadians have (a) the right of the individual to life, liberty, security of the person and enjoyment of property, and the right not to be deprived thereof.
Never in doubt, seldom correct.
You are right, but those are the diehard anti's. You'll never get them to back private gun ownership. But that's not the group you have to target. It's the fence sitters. They can be convinced, but it has to be done diplomatically. Not the way most guys here do it.
It's important to have a good vocabulary. If I had known the difference between the words 'antidote' and 'anecdote,' one of my good friends would still be alive.
Again, the biggest problem here is the mainstream media.
You can have best arguments against anti gun clowns all you want but if mainstream media is on their side, they win.
So far they are winning and it seems like no one understands this.
Mainstream media is shaping opinions of those “Nervous Nellies” few people mentioned.
That may have been true at one time. With social media, if we got off our collective asses, the message would get out. It's just easier to do nothing and blame everyone around us from the problems we are having. It's not just us, but if you look at every group or nationality that plays the victim, they are mired in crap. The ones that decide to learn and live move on to become successful. Which one we decide to be is up to us and only us. Unfortunately, I'm am pretty sure most have already made their decision.
Three examples of groups that decided to move on and learn are: gay people, disabled people, and Japanese-Canadians. I'll let you look around to identify three groups that decided to go the other route, not including gun owners.
It's important to have a good vocabulary. If I had known the difference between the words 'antidote' and 'anecdote,' one of my good friends would still be alive.

This is going to be a federal gun ban and you guys are talking about provincial “what if”.
