I don't believe Canada moved more to the left, the liberal party, just like the Dems in the US, moved to far left to cater to the loud obnoxious minority and people on the right do not see the point in voting for a party that is not really on the right either so they don't come out, there's a reason Bernier was poling 49% in the leadership race.
Take a hint from the US 2016 election : the God Emperor may be divisive but he did motivate the troops.

What the CPC needs is to boot Sheer and get someone with actual charisma, not give an inch to the left and most important : actually be right wing.
Tous les jours nous nous endormons plus instruits mais pas forcément moins betes...

Write letters, visit offices. Do not go unheard but be polite.

I actually did that - the re-elected MP in the riding I live in is Liberal (won again with close to 75% of the votes in the riding). When I asked her position on how legislation/bans will not affect the criminals her exact response was "thats the issue, you gun owners are the issue by unsafe guns that kill people - you can just go out and get a gun" When I further asked her if she knew the laws on how to obtain a firearm she replied "i don't need to - I do what people who voted me into this office and they don't want guns in Canada" and walked away

I would love to hear how we can combat that ignorance

Unfortunately you can’t combat ignorance if people don’t believe themselves to be ignorant!
She’s not interested in facts, she’s interested in the “ Story “ and she’s not about to let “ Facts “ get in the way !

If there's a way to break through this, I certainly would love to know it !

    Cheers

well..... all those donations to our gun orgs over the years and they refuse to unite and do exactly what you suggest. A wide spread and sustained media campaign with advertisements to join local gun clubs, learn and get licensed for hunting, learn and participate in competitive shooting..... and most of all blurbs on firearms education. We see none of these things in the media so the antigun bullsh*te has been left unanswered and the masses have only been fed one flavor of koolaid.
The fact Canadian firearms owners do not have an active and sustained presence in mainstream television adds is on our many fractured orgs who refuse to unite as one.

    Been there / done that - https://www.producer.com/1998/09/ant...nt-hill-rally/

20,000 showed up on The Hill on their own dime.

    Police snipers on rooftops.

    Warped and spun media coverage.

The old timers will fill you in on the details.

Would you get 20,000 people in a march today on relatively short notice? It took Greta a year of sitting alone with her sign before she even got noticed. Any volunteers for that duty?

Or how about the truckers that recently went to Ottawa demanding action for the oil patch and got derailed by the yellow vests (plants?).

Marches could come at the right time, but you need a large group of committed people and an audience. We have neither.

    Easy peasy.

Roll up our sleeves, find high profile NGO's and good causes that are aimed right at the root causes of suicide and domestic violence and the next time she starts to walk away you can say "Gun owners last year contributed $500,000 and 65,000 volunteer hours to support CMHA, food banks and battered women' shelters in the interest of addressing root causes of crime. Why isn't your government doing likewise instead of pandering to voter emotion?"

You are correct. The message of despair carried to Ottawa from Alberta by the truck convoy got totally derailed by a bunch of fanatical, freeloading yellow vests.

This is exactly "the Bill Blair" type of ignorant person who refuses to even consider what other people have to say. You could bring best people with best speaking skills to talk to them it won't help, their communist mind is dead on focused on achieving their agenda. Hack, even if Albert Einstein spoke to them it would be impossible to penetrate their wall of ignorance.
Stalin's regime was very similar to modern communist/marxists/socialist/liberals agenda which only differs by nicer wrapping.
There is really no intelligent communication with leftists like your MP.
To fight her we must fight JT by creating more headaches for his tyrannical rule, like WEXIT movement, join the movement even if you believe that Canada should never separate, contribute in all legal ways to create an environment of disapproval for JT's government! Once his minority government shatters, all liberal MP's will go down with the sinking ship.
Canada has never been more divided since it's foundations were laid!! Liberals succeeded in dividing Canada to historical proportions, and we simply want to support the side that gives most headaches to the communist government.
However, never forget that we always want to remain peaceful group. No violence! No need for it in 21st century and in modern civilized society. Liberals won't attack us with their goon teams to confiscate our firearms. Those goon teams were created to fight armed criminals who threaten public safety and terrorists. But if they ever do go after law abiding citizens who are hard working fathers and mothers, that would change the sentiment of law abiding citizens forever.

Just look whats happening in NZ! Some weak minded cowardice have handed their listed firearms, but majority had decided to become paper criminals and non-comply to unjust and downright ridiculous laws.

With 2 years grace period we should all sit back and relax, keep enjoying our sport shooting and hunting, many things could happen or change within 2 years. Talk to your shooting friends at local range, tell them to buy a stripped AR lower as an act of solidarity with the rest of community.
How to make a difference in fight against the communists?
    1. Vote for CPC 2. Join CCFR and CSSA (not NFA ) 3. Write letters to your Member of Parliament 4. Continue to be upstanding citizen
