I'm having the same issue with the wood grips. If the grips are tight, the double action feature doesnt work, if they are loosely on it works but of course then the grip is loose

So I took mine to a smith, and he's going to have a look at it.
He suspects the screw is set deeper into the wood grips, and it may be interfering with the main spring.
I'll update when I find out.

Please post any finding. I tried the set of grips on a pals 380 that had removed the mag safety bar and the wood panels have no effect so I suspect that has something to do with whatever catching. I havent removed my mag safety however to test

I tried pushing the grips tight against the bar, and it had no effect.
It's just that last 1/8th turn to snug it from contact that seems to do it.
I was afraid it would go FA, because the hammer is falling back with the slide, but he tried it, and no. Just single action
