I badly want an FN49, but every time I come close to having enough $$$ for one something important comes up that takes precedence, like vehicle repairs, family affairs, etc etc. I’m getting quite tired of it. For me, 2020 will be the year of the FN49.

That one wasn't pristine. unless I misunderstanding the meaning of the word.

The pic on Astor Arms website was a little blurry but it looked pristine enough for me. I think the lines on them are beautiful.

I had one once. Sold it. One of the biggest regrets of my life.

Patience, I am still freeing up the gas system and have parts all over the pool table. As soon as she is back together I will post some photos. Still looking for other interesting FN49 rifles and accessories.

I have a decent Venezuelan FN49 and a really nice Egyptian. Not sure if the Egyptian one is new or rebuilt. Seems to me they came up years ago as refurbished. I haven't shot the Venezuelan, but have fired the Egyptian. Nice rifles to shoot.

I too have a Venezuelan in 7mm mauser but the stock got some dings and dents and the flash hider has been replaced with a thread protector.
