Unless Alberta gets their own Police Force JT and the RCMP gang will still control everything and rob law-abiding sportspeople whenever they feel like it. It's time to get a Police force that represents Alberta and not Ottawa.

I gotta get home quickly before it rains and the RCMP opens up their illegal secret files that they definitely do not have lol

So what does supporting us accomplish without our own provincial firearms laws? We are still federally governed by federal laws. Are they going to kick a scream if the libs pass assinign legislation. Or are they going to file injunctions to stop the lieberals OIC or whatever they do? Standing with us is akin to sending thoughts and prayers on Facebook. Without being a sovereign state free of federal bulls#!+ and without a provincial police force that is independent from the royal horse corps we cant really do anything. Or am I wrong?

That’s how I feel as well. I truly appreciate the gesture and them making their position on the issue known. But besides platitudes what does this give us?

There is always the "Not Withstanding Clause" that allows a province to opt out of any unpalatable federal legislation.
There are absolutely no absolutes! :D

    Think of it like this.

In the USA marijuana is illegal on the federal level however many states have chosen to legalize it. There was a time when the feds would still raid shops selling the stuff in states where it was deemed legal (on a state level). These practices of the feds interfering with state law seems to have stopped. Maybe this is something that will happen in Canada with firearms?

My firearms need a safe zone!
Why doesn't Ford stop sucking up to Trudeau and do something for the harassed firearms owners in Ontario!

The enforcement of laws, including the Criminal Code falls within the jurisdiction of the Provincial Attorney General under Section 92 of the BNA Act
It is within the AG's power to instruct the Crown Prosecutors not to act on certain laws and not to prosecute certain offenses
If the Government of Alberta wants to make a statement...

When C-68 first came in, AB's PCs instructed provincial LEOs not to enforce the "paperwork" part of that act, basically meaning that if you were stopped hunting, you wouldn't be asked for a firearms license or registration (when it was required for non-restricted), only your hunting license.
