A few of things to keep in mind.

    Property rights are provincial jurisdiction.
Crown prosecutors are under provincial jurisdiction.
When the LGR came in, Ralph Klein directed that it would not be pursued in Alberta . Nobody ever was asked for registration proof.
Mayor Nenshi's plan to ban handguns in Calgary would not be allowed.
The Alberta govt has no problem poking the Feds in the eye.

This is a big win and a call to action for all Canadian Gun Owners. Let Kenny & Nixon know you appreciate their help. Contact your own MLA/MPP and ask why they are not doing the same thing.

Actually it isn't! An armed society is a polite society! Another CGN member stated Police open carry, as do Wildlife Officers, Sheriff Service, Armoured Car Guards, etc. Open carry was designed to be a deterrent to crime. It doesn't always work, but, I would like to be given the option, I'm sure so would many others......

Now with a concealed carry permit you have the element of surprise, should a need to protect life happen.

Your location of Methbridge can be assumed as Lethbridge, if so, I am certain Lethbridge City Police also open carry.

Thought this was a great interview. Around the 30 minute mark he talks about setting up Alberta's own provincial police force (like Ontario), and having it's own Firearms Officer. There's lots of powers the provinces have. Like the U.S., exercising State/Provincial rights is the answer to federal overstep. Keep fighting.
