Go watch the interactions some of these super-patriot, American hero open carry retards have with police, for example. Most of them are people wanting to make a statement and it mostly results in getting people on both sides needlessly amped up. I absolutely think people should be able to carry concealed given some sort of qualification - I don't think there is much benefit to open carry however. The only case I can see is hunting/outdoors kind of stuff where you might need to fend off Yogi or a mama moose in the backcountry.

This isn't a case of open carry, but rather a concealed carrier that showed his cards too soon, interjected himself into the situation and got to take the room temperature challenge because of it. He even had the benefit of blending in right off the bat and still got smoked.

As for the people pointing out that the police open carry, thank you so much I was unaware. Trying to draw parallels between what they do and the function they serve and your average joe blow on the street is laughable so thanks for that. As a regular dude on the street, carrying a firearm is for the protection of YOUR life or the people in your immediate vicinity, not to go play concerned citizen, Canadian-hero.

We, the people of Alberta and Saskatchewan, have to stand up for our rights according to the constitution! About time we have a government official who realizes where his paycheck comes from an who put him there to do as we, the people, have voted him to do.

Carry is not retarded, whether open or concealed.

Which is appropriate in any given circumstance is best determined by the person carrying.
    - Gun Control is about making it unlawful for you to use, carry, or possess a firearm.
    - All restrictions/prohibitions must be repealed.

Why can’t Canadians have governments that use common sense and morals. Smh.
First off, ALL post secondary institutions are feeling the hit - which, surprise, surprise, coincides with the retraction of industry need for workers and the stagnating economy.
Second - Why the hell should my tax dollars be subsidizing a for-profit institution that is training and making money off educating foreign students/workers that come to Alberta, get an education and then go back to support their countries economy?
Thirdly, the school boards are notoriously bad with their money; spending it like drunken sailors on shore leave. They need to tighten their belts and prioritize the tax money they receive - on students and front line teachers, not on their corporate offices and not on busing kids all over the place because they can't get their collective sh!t together. It is well overdue that they open their books for auditing, which is finally going to happen.
Lastly, this nonsense about the elections commissioner has been debunked. NDP shill is let go, portfolio and investigations rolled under other management.

Interesting development! If things start rolling in desirable way towards more freedom for law abiding citizens of Alberta I might consider making a permanent move to the future land of the free, namely Alberta, and do it while there is still no need to apply for visa to enter this haven of freedom and fair justice.
