    $2782.50 with 5% tax is a big ask for a 2-4moa 4kg gat

These have always been this price. You can get a type 97 for 1200 all in give or take.

In April 2020 they sold for $2400 no tax, now 10.4% more at $2650.

    2020 to 2022 there was 3.87% inflation.

    6.53% increase.

Also just because it's been X price doesn't mean it's a fair price

Well I wish I had bought one sooner. I picked up mine after our lovely PM banned all my ARs. So now looking back I could have two or three of these rifles vs my dozen ARs that are paperweights.

The lower the price the happier I am.

But realistically, since when guns prices follow inflation?
In the free market capitalism, it usually supply and demand that dictate price. The only way to bring the price down is if you can tell people not buy them at $2600 and wait till they go down.

Lol the x95 at $2600 barely even raised in price compared to other firearms. Prices have gone crazy on recent imports.

Have you shot an X95 before? I wish I hadn't sold mine. It also shot the same as my ARs accuracy wise with surplus fodder, my ARs being off the shelf and not free floated or modified in any way.

It's an infantry rifle not a paper target rifle. You pay for reliability, ruggedness and the fact that it's built by a company that supplies one of the best militaries in the world.
If people want to shoot one inch circles at a paper target all day there are tons of other offerings available in Canada.
