Absolutely. I'm tired of forking out cash to the CSSA, CCFR, and the NFA. As my memberships expire, I WON'T be renewing. ONE ORG OR NOTHING! I've read and heard all the arguments for 3 orgs but nothing positive has come out having 3 orgs. Look where we are now and there's no end in sight to gun confiscation.

Is there any way we could challenge this law and wrap it in red tape so it doesn't become applicable? Or are we not as free as our neighbors in the States?
Billy boy clearly said they would prohibit military style weapons by order in council. I have some very bad news for you if you think you can challenge this in court. You can not. Orders in council can not be challenged in any court. They are a throwback to the time of the divine right of kings to rule the peasants. The firearms act clearly gives the power to prohibit firearms, devices etc. to the governor in council. (Julie) So whether you like it or not their intent is to shove this down our throats while totally avoiding any tie ups in parliament or the courts. He also said military style weapons not just rifles. This opens up the real possibility that all those nice semi-auto shotguns used in 3 gun competitions will be gone along with a bunch of other firearms. If they follow the NZ example they will also ban ownership of any significant part of a banned firearm.

Right you are Ralph. However peasents like us also took pitchforks and torches to the castles of our lords who overstepped their uselessness.

There's no end to the gun bans and confiscations. Canada is broken.

I remember my son playing Civilization years ago. I watched over his shoulder for a while and I finally asked, "what is happening in your game"? He answered I am fleeing civil disorder. I did not build enough granaries and the peasants are hungry and angry. The peasants in the game were indeed brandishing pitchforks, torches, etc. Life is not a game.

What if we all just said "No. We are not the problem."

    Would they arrest us all?

Not everyone, but think about how many lives were ruined through people not complying with the prohibition on Marijuana. Even a short jail sentence and confiscation was just the tip of the iceberg of punishment, because once you have a criminal record, good luck in finding gainful employment. There is no true liberty in democracy. Without a solid foundation based on individual freedom, then we are victims to whatever narrative that the masses believe. It doesn’t matter that “we are not the problem” all that matters is how people feel about it and with the media largely at the reigns of public opinion, any true pushback is just framed as extremism.

Don’t take that as me saying that everyone HAS to comply because everyone will make their own choices, but once this is pushed through, open discussion about anything other than 100% compliance will just put a target on your back from our “great rulers.”

You're probably right. Most folks I know are pretty apathetic. I don't imagine getting lots of support for any civil disobedience.
