Governments typically divert peoples attention with issues that grab at the heart of a group . Keep watching , there is a much bigger issue at hand , what it is i do not know ...
It's low hanging political fruit. The rise in gang realted shootings etc scares people and this is a way for the government to play into that and say they are making Canadians safer while not addressing the real underlying problems. That's it. Nothing else.
