$1500 USD is more than double the price of a new retail M17 civilian model. As they are the same thing except for a (formerly) military serial number, I fail to see the point. Why pay double for a used pistol just because some US service-person has handled, shot and (presumably) maintained it like they could care less about it because it belongs to the government?!?

I used to be a soldier and I'll sell you my used M17 for $1500 USD..... It's a real "steal"!

The retail is 700USD when shipped by Sig to their dealers.
    The 1500USD is auction price.
Right now, we're waiting for Sig to ship the next batch of M17 surplus.

We get the short end of the stick as usual up here, I knew this was going to happen when they were first announced. Even the Sig dealers up here will sell out with insiders buying bulk and then reselling on used market.

So, last night I ended up with one & gunbroker listing with a decent buy-now price.
But this morning was surprised seller would only sell and ship to US even no matter I explained he will be paid by the FFL and shipped to FFL location.
Oh well, I thought I already got my hands in one of these...

You wouldn't have been able to import it over anyways, the ITAR regs changed a little while ago. You have to get someone like IRG to purchase it and do the leg work for you. Reach out to them and they should be able to sort it out for you.

That's what I have told them, but seems like they only want to these to their citizens. I've come across several U.S. sellers that will only sell USGI items within the U.S.

For me, personally, I agree. For me objectively, if people are willing to pay that and it's what they want... So be it.
