I think your correct, calling it nickel without adding painted is a bit confusing.
 
Hard to tell from the pics, but would this pistol accomodate a linear compensator that is 1 inch in diameter (I think), without obstructing the sights?
 
hopefully you guys get lucky, from what I have seen these past years, Bersa shipments are scarce as hell once depleted...hopefully Tactical Imports make some miracle.

The sights are barely 1/4" higher than the top of the barrel. It won't obstruct the sights since it would be in front of them but it may obscure your target.
