Virtually nobody who knows what they’re doing and has money is using these in an operational role. They’ve all been replaced by mystery ranch, kifaru, eberlestock, arcteryx, and countless other brands who make real modern backpacks.
I’ve got a couple old Alice packs myself, but they sit in the basement while I take out my modern bags.
Alice frames are still the standard for airborne forces operations in the USA and Canada. I have tried and own(ed) several eberlestock and mystery ranch options
While the Alice bag is antiquated in SOME design features (Alice webbing, no buckles) the Alice pack remains an excellent option
Bags haven’t changed that much over the years
Look at what some people do to modify theirs. IE “hellcat” Alice packs or tactical tailor “malice” packs
I have used the Alice extensively carrying heavy loads 60-80~ lbs hundreds of KM
Would take it over my eberlestock, TBH - I use a a Gucci TT rhino ruck bag and shoulder straps though

Slightly different question, but since you can source german made products....any chance of getting any german army surplus camo pull over ponchos...with the single pocket in front? I am still using my old one from years ago....and would love a new one.

I am havin a heck of a time sourcing one...as the pull overs seem to be hard to get...the only ones i can find similar to mine are front zipper jacket style?

The ALICE pack itself is simple- old school, and many people like them. That said- you are posting up absolute nonsense and clearly have no idea what you are talking about. ALICE gear has never been the standard in Canada- not for anyone, don't compare it to an old 64 pattern- they are not the same. As well, trying to compare an Eberlestock is foolish- they are not made for the same thing.

Frontier- good luck with your sale of these, if these are quality- they are rugged.
To everyone else- stop derailing threads with BS "experience", it makes sales worse for the actual businesses.

There has been a recent uptick in sales of these the last 4 days, we are not sure why. We had brought in all that they had in hopes of having a couple of years supply, but now it is looking like we will be out in a month or two.

I have the FILBE the molle 2 the ALICE
They are all external frame packs but the FILBE and molle 2 are really quite superior to the ALICE
