    Winchester SHOT show special 1885 Traditional Hunter High Grade

    The pic shows a crescent style butt plate, but the description says decelerator - can you confirm which is correct?

    rifle is 9 lbs bare so that helps with recoil.

    I’ve had a few guns with the crescent butt and they are fine UNLESS you misalign them lol. I did that once while shooting awkwardly from a bench and basically put the bottom point of the crescent in the soft spot on my shoulder ... do not recommend lol. The good thing is that the design is made to make that kind of misalignment less likely lol.
