SHOT SHOW 2020: some shiny things from the Cimarron Firearms Company

I knew of Cimarron as a company specializing in Old West guns reproduction. But apparently they are also fans of serious engraving.

I was surprised to see that, somehow, they copied me. Some of you may be aware that last year i mounted a red dot on my Snider Enfield. Well, look at this. Can't be just a coincidence.

Long guns were on display too. These were not for sale, even when i offered to trade my Snider for that Spencer carbine.

Yep, fixed wing is great but rotary wing is ... GREAT. Life is good. JP.

I like some tasteful engraving (although these are way over the top for my taste...), and I love colour case hardening...but am I the only person who thinks that those two types of embellishment look horrible together on the same piece of metal?

That sidehammer (Spencer?) in the last pic would be a cool gun with either type of finish, but with both it seems like a bit of a dog's breakfast.

Nice guns for looking at, but for actually shooting I think my first choice would be Lou's "Ye Olde Tacticoole Shootin' Iron" Snider!
Eat right, don't drink, don't smoke, exercise, get lots of sleep...and die anyway!

If you want to buy it, say "I'll take it".
If you want to make an offer, say "I'll take it for $X".
If you want to practice your negotiating skills by asking if I will accept $X, with no intention of actually buying...say nothing.

I actually really like the look of that blue case hardening with the engraving!
