SHOT SHOW 2020: Ruger PC Chassis and Ruger 57 pistol

For whatever reason everyone is jumping on 5.7 wagon ( more later ). Ruger 57 is probably the second major pistol release of this calibre, disregarding some of the obscure clones of FN Five-Seven. The Ruger's interpretation is much more conventional than FN's. Nothing funky, all the controls like safety are in the conventional spots and the slide is not encased in plastic. The handling of Ruger is also more inline with pistol shooting technique in the last 20 years, that has been trending towards low bore axis and high tang grip. The recoil of 5.7 is mild, but the long cartridge length means a wide grip, so people with shorter fingers are probably not liking anything 5.7 in pistol alot.

Ruger PC Chassis. The news has been out for a month or two, and the actual gun is displayed at the Media Range Day. The package comes with a Glock mag adaptor. Pretty smart move on Ruger's part. So yes, now you can have AR pistol grip and Magpul stock on it.

Nice to have some options for the 5.7.

Kinda like the 57, sure the ammo is a bit more expensive but really like the ballistics of the little bugger.

5.7 doesn't make sense to me considering the laws in this country.

He might be referring to what is considered AP and what isn't. I think there were two different varieties of the 5.7 originally one with AP capabilities and one without.

Wow all these new 5.7 guns coming out is exciting. The round has always Intrigued me. Depending on how close the pricing on the ruger is to the FN I may pick one up.
