SHOT SHOW 2020: New Remingtons, short Model 7 and a 700 in 300 Savage

Here are two new models from Remington which I thought could be of interest to some CGNers.

Remington introduces a Model 7 (hang on to your hat for the model name: "Synthetic Threaded Mossy Oak Bottomland Camo") with a 16.5 inch barrel and three caliber options - 300 AAC Blackout, 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor (for that last caliber, not sure about barrel length. In Remington's litterature, there is confusing info - one place mentions 16.5 inch, and 20 inch in another). Lightweight division, coming in at 6 pounds.

Also new, a 700 chambered in (imho) the often underappreciated 300 Savage. 20 inch barrel, stainless (satin finish), about 7.5 pounds. Looking at the mag floorplate shows why Remington decided to bring this one out this year.

Ok before you guys ask, I'll look for the info on the black rifle at the bottom of the first picture!

Thanks for the pics! I've always thought the 300Sav would make a great addition to my battery. And the 100 Anniversary seems like the perfect excuse!

The rem model 7 seems to be the current kuiu model (16.5 barrel in 308 and 300BLK) but with a different camo stock.

It's a very nice rifle below 6# without scope.

Black one in the first picture is the "700 CP" (Chassis pistol), the buttstock is a brace. So, a very American thing...

WOW that 700 CP pictured above is awesome.

Does anyone know the overall length with the butt stock at its shortest adjustment.

I would buy it in a heart beat in 308 if it was non-restricted.

I'd load it with Barnes 130gr TTSX would be the ultimate thick bush blacktail deer bolt gun.

Figured it out the 12.5" barreled 700 CP in 308 without butt stock is 21.75" OAL means with an adjustable butt stock it would have to be at least 10" longer making it a non restricted long gun.

The 223 and 300 Blackout have 10.5" barrels OAL is 20.81" without butt stock.
