Well then I guess its OK if the firearms and hunting community adopts a "neutral" stance on the preservation of wetlands and refuses to funnel them money.

Sorry, we're neutral on this! We only focus on gun issues.

    Actually it is...

The link to the petition is a political act - specifically because the petition ADVOCATES (that's the important word) against the proposed legislation.

What DU COULD do is EDUCATE or INFORM (different language) it's members that this legislation is in the works, that if the members want to find our more they can go to website A, if they want to support the legislation they can go to website B, and if they don't support the legislation they can go to website C. (must do all three).

I still think DU is acting like a piece of poop - they know full well that this affects their members, and more importantly they should know full well that this affects their fundraising capability (e.g. auctioning off hunting equipment). There are ways to not lend political support one way or the other, but still inform membership of the news of the day.

There sure are a lot of blissful people wading in to trash an organization that helps their cause in so many other ways.

Just Google those two organizations and you can see what meddling in politics in Canada can be done with funded lobby groups! There’s a long history of those organizations funding lots of radical actions in Canada
    And then?

Just sent off an email to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation requesting if they would be able to post the petition on their site or email members as they have been supporting the firearms community.

    And then?
If doctors stand beside the Libs and say the same lies then it’s got to be true! To people who know nothing of what it takes to own firearms in Canada!
Just like the red flag crap they want to put in place! It already exists in the current legislation! That seems to be a big talking point for them, they mention how they’re going to do things to make the laws tougher that are already in the legislation that people who are involved in the firearms community already know are in the legislation but the general public does not even know it exists because they don’t know what the laws are!
I hope you aren’t attached to or own any semi automatic shotguns or rifles for that matter if this continues down this path we’re headed!
