So if a SKS doesn't have a bayo?? Is it still a SKS??

Looks real nice, maybe the turd and his Libranos won't find this model scary any longer.
The only government I trust is 45-70 Government!
The walnut really makes it look sharp.
I wonder who makes the stock. This can't be original?

Never in doubt, seldom correct.
Those looking to buy a Mini-30, now have cheaper options.

Yes, I know that. I have an SKS or two, or ten but the bayo when closed is what pushes the rod up into that clip you described. The clip then captures the rod while the bayos pressure on it keeps it from rattling around in the clip. Once you release the bayo from it's home or deployed position the pressure on the cleaning rod is gone allowing the user to remove the rod from the clip.
I agree that if I bought one of these I'd remove the cleaning rod and bayo lug altogether.
