    Tavor 7 Cocking Issue

The issue I ran into ever since I've own the gun is... When the hammer is down and the selector lever is on safe, cocking the action to the rear is really difficult but will cock with some effort, but when the selector lever is on repetition it cocks just fine also when the hammer is down.

Is this normal or am I on the only one experiencing this?

Mine works the same. I don't see how it's an issue though.

I see it as an issue because you shouldn't have to reef on the cocking handle just to charge it. Also having the X95 it doesn't have that problem.

Are you sure you're not just cocking it with the hammer down? My Tavor takes more effort to cock it when the hammer is down.

My Tavor 7 is the same as the OP has described. I think it is simply a function of the Tavor 7's Trigger Pack being different - specifically the .308 Hammer. I simply ensure that my rifle is placed on "Fire" before attempting to charge it and encounter no problems. I wouldn't worry about it - adjust your Manual of Arms accordingly and carry on....

As long as it's not a design flaw. I'll just make sure to cock it on repetition when the hammer is down.
