    One more thought. It would be nice to have the option of adding a peep sight or a scope rail/red dot. Drill and tap please!

    I think that an aftermarket peep sight could be used if your so inclined. D&T is usually a no go on double rifle or combo. And to keep them "affordable" the list of extras needs to be kept to a minimum I think !
    I would like a cartridges trap in the stock and I will buy one and have it installed later on!

    Can the Howdas take pressure of regular 45-70 loads? If so , it could accept 21/2 410 shells without chamber gaps between both
    Cartridges !

    Just stumbled upon this thread. I absolutely love the idea. I’ve always wanted a double, a proper gentlemen’s hunting/survival rifle. I have a few other Pedersoli rifles. I’d be interested in one fore sure if it came in around the $1500 mark. 45 Colt is a good choice.
