If enough people complain about the poor services, maybe they'll hire more staff
They will reply that its a Canadian government issue and not a Quebec issue. Been there done that.

Although, the SQ can process an ATT in less than 24 hours.

My last transfer took 7 weeks and 1 day. Anywhere else in Canada, it takes 24-48 hours.

I called yesterday to follow up on a Webley transfer started on Feb 10th.
The lady I talked to said that she figured about 30 days, she also mentioned that there are normally 3 people who work on the final approval stage of transfers but at the moment there is only one because the other two are working on a special project.
If true it makes you wonder what the special project is?

I sold a restricted on the second week of January, the buyer and I called twice and still nothing.

If it was like that across the country, it would be a standard but Quebec CFO are simply making it as painful as they can to delay transfers. They also tell AR buyers that it takes 30 days for an AR transfert because its the norm for semi-auto carbine

Even the Ontario CFO moved staff around to help with transfers when we were overloaded before the holidays.

Ombudsman or your MP would be the one to look into it.

I think it's about time we file an ATIP regarding applications vs rejections vs time per app
